This elegant Pousada enjoys an enviable position in the centre of Horta’s bustling harbour front. Completely renovated in 2004, the property has been stylishly decorated throughout and offers accommodation of a high standard. The Pousada is housed within the walls of an historic 16th century fort, captured by the English fleet lead by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1597.

 

The spectacular views of the marina, ocean and Mount Pico from the upper floors of the hotel are, along with those from the executive
rooms of the Hotel Faial, the best on the island. Recommended!

 

Ground Floor: 4 standard rooms including one for the disabled, all with covered balcony and garden view.
First Floor: 8 standard rooms at the rear (no balcony or particular view), 12 rooms to the front with covered balcony and ocean view and 1 corner suite with twin bedroom and separate living room with ocean view (no balcony).
Top Floor: 2 standard rooms, both with balcony and ocean view and 1 suite with twin bedroom, separate living room and balcony with ocean view.
