The Convento do Desagravo was built in 1780 and completed in 1800 on the orders of the Bishop and Count, Dom Francisco de Lemos de Faria Pereira Coutinho. After extensive, careful restoration and total refurbishment the Pousada opened its doors to the public in August 2002. Located close to the Serra da Estrela Natural Park and Serra do Acor mountains, the Pousada enjoys a peaceful setting in attractive surroundings. This beautiful property is ideal as part of a fly drive itinerary, or as a place to relax and unwind.
