On high ground on the edge of Anavargos, this renovated and extended village house has extensive views southwards over the countryside towards Paphos and the sea. The east has a wilder aspect of trees and valleys and distant hills; birds abound.

 

Spilio is simply furnished in local style and has a small, shady garden leading to the swimming pool. On one side stands the old bread oven, preserved as a feature, now with a barbecue in front. Kept, too, is the original village house, now the big living-room.

 

Behind are an old taverna and the village church, with a second taverna beyond and from here a handy bus runs into Paphos Town.
