The Sandbeach Castle Hotel is a small family-run hotel which we first featured in the ‘80s. Being near the airport it is conveniently situated for the town. Located along Makenzy beach, the main building was originally built by the then British District Commissioner as his residence. Reminiscent of the thirties, with an old world atmosphere, the public areas are spacious and full of character.

 

Shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance whilst the old fort and attractive town seafront, lined with palm trees, are approximately 1km. The beach is good for children as its shelves gradually.

Accommodation: the 24 twin-bedded rooms (doubles on request) with bath or shower are on the two upper floors. All rooms have telephone, those sea-facing have balconies. Adjacent and facing the sea there are 4 new bungalow type rooms also with bathroom and shared terrace. Bedrooms are centrally heated and have air conditioning (on request and at local charge).

 

Board Basis: Bed and breakfast. Half Board at a supplement.
